We rented a SOT and enjoyed some time on Okanagan Lake.

I spend my free time kayaking on Okanagan Lake in British Columbia. In this picture my youngest son.

Tomorrow (Apr.12th) the temp is supposed to get up to 19-23c (23 degree Celsius = 73.4 degree Fahrenheit) Our paddle season has already began. The ice is gone and I have been out about 5x this spring so far. =) Unfortunetlly I can't get in the water this weekend as I have a funeral to attend in Vancouver area :(. sure would have been nice.. 19c now that's a nice spring day! Maybe Monday.

One of my sons lives in Calgary and I saw on the news yesterday Calgary had about a foot of snow just dump on them. So glad I am in the Okanagan. :) LOL..

May 09th It is spring!
Couldn't wait any longer, the sun beating down on me all morning, so I finished work at 12:30pm. It was just beautiful out 22c and clear blue sky with hardly any wind. Didn't have much time to waste, I had to be back by 3:30 to do some running around. So I grabbed the tandem threw it on the car and headed to Okanagan Lake and hit the beach. I put-In at the Penticton Marina and paddled out to the big rock on the East side. Along my way saw quite a few sunbathers on the secluded beaches. Chatted with one of them, a friend of mine named Jim for a few mins. then continued on my way. Reached the rock and relaxed and soaked up the sun for a bit then paddled back. It's nice to have the lake so close. Now I just have to get a better kayak rack for the car so I don't scratch it again then I will be all set. Hmm maybe a sail too, right Creg? :)

Have a great day kayaking!
