Is there such a thing out there like a Pedometer but for a paddle...
like maybe a Paddle-o-meter. Be interesting to know how many paddle strokes that you make on a trip. Or could a person maybe set up a pedometer to do this?

I don't know much about "Pedometers" myself.

Guy you could wear a wrist mounted pedometer or there is a model that works while hanging around your neck. You could always just count for 15 minutes and time by four. This would give you an average and then you could create a chart for the various paddle stroke rates and use this to calculate your speed over ground in case you forget your Greg Posistioning System.

Hmmm.. Wrist mounted pedometer? didn't know they had such a thing. ;-)

Hey I took my tandem kayak out on Vaseaux lake again and and did a sprint and guess what, I did make it up to 10kmh but that is still only 6.214mph. that has been the fastest on a flat without wind or current Oh well it was enjoyable anyway LOL.

Wirst mounted pedometers are also watches, they count every time you swing your arm. Lots of sites on pedometers out there, the wirst one I liked was less than 20.00 bucks if I remember right I know for sure it was less than 30. Greg
