Christmas here in the alps is white, and I'm dreaming of lots of warm water in spring.

Permalink Reply by john allsop on January 15, 2008 at 4:48pm: I,m a little late but we also had a white chistmas, plus january, february,march and maybe some of april by the end of that month the snow and ice may have gone untill november, which seems like a good long summer, but for me a 70 year old september is usually getting too cool and counting the bad day,s we are left with 14 weeks of ,for me usable weather to fit it all in, should i move south,NO i only recently moved north, if you were here you would see the good parts outweigh the not so good, but then winter has it,s own benefit,s, skiing, snow mobiling,curling, dancing, and most often clear sunny skies while the real bad stuff stays south of lake superior. The kayaking opportunities are in reality fantasic, fast water rivers, lakes of all sizes, and that inland sea called LAKE SUPERIOR, lot,s of fishing and hunting, check www.playintheextreme.com have a look.; ▶ Reply to This
