Howdy all Fluid folks. (shit that sounds lame).
I loaded the teaser vid of the Blyde Xfest onto playak.tv go check out some of the action from the main race in the Blyde Canoyn. This teaser does not cover the other water events but they will be available later for your viewing pleasure. Will let you all know as well when it will be broadcast.

hey everyone just thought i'd let you's know me and my mate are paddling the Murray white water festival on the 30 and 31st of August. there's a 2.2 metre boat limit so we're taking the flirt and the nemesis. the day starts with a race down a meaty grade 4 stretch called the steps and then goes on to a freestyle comp in a hole further down. Im not doing the freestyle as i've only been paddling a year and cant throw any moves in a hole yet.
this will be one of the last runnable days of the Aussy winter before our 8 month summer with only one grade 3 dam released river (which they are talking about lowering the release and making it un-paddleable) so everyone out there with rivers to paddle I envy you.

Yeah the nemesis was great and definately looked the part but i am 6" 2 and only weigh 70 kgs so the flirt was more in my volume range. its hard being tall and light and finding a boat which i can fit my legs into aswell as be able to sink an end. the flirt is that boat! well done Fluid.
Just paddled my first meaty grade 4 river on the weekend(the lower murray in dwellingup WA) what a buzz for the first time. luckily it was a swim free day for me which gave my confidence a real boost. unfortunately my mate had a swim and lost his pyranna play boat on the last major rapid of the day( a 2km long beauty called "TERMINATION". Get a FLUID i told him ha ha.

The Flirt is a rad boat, I enjoyed it everytime I tried one (never owned one). But I have my own Nemesis and prefer that. More stable on the ends, faster, more responsive. Love the boat!!! Glad you're happy though. Cheers,
Adrian
