About Me:

20 years old and live in the sth west of western Australia. I currently own a wavesport x but im getting a little board of it so i am chasin something with a bit less volume. heard dagger rx is good. I have been paddling for one year and im tackling my first grade 4 river this winter. wish me luck. just bought a new fluid flirt and i love it.

murray white water festival- Awesome kicker

The Murray white water fest 08 was an awesome weekend. The river was quite low as it is nearing the end of our winter but the paddling was still great. Nearly 50 people entered the festival and it was my first time. Saturday night there was a party with a band which left everyone slightly under the weather for sunday mornings NARLY kicker ramp show. The top of the ramp was sitting 6meters plus above the river bank which was also a round 2 meters above the river level. I cracked a rib as i landed… Continue

Some aussy paddling

Hey just to let everyone know that the murray whitewater festival 2008 is being held on the 30 and 31st of august so come and check it out
The lower murray is a great grade 4 run with easy put in and out.
we paddled it at 1.5 meters which is a medium level and not too pushy my mate has paddled it in his creek boat at 2.3 meters which is quite full on.

Bloody close call. Glad you made it out ok! Never have anything loose attached to your PFD/body while paddling... :-) Post some articles of paddling in Australia. I just checked out the DVD, Downunder the Horizonline and it's pretty wicked.... You should check it out. Ther review will be on Playak very soon. Cheers,
