I have just read that the size of lee boards should be 4 to 5% of the sail area and long slim ones are to be preffered. They should have a aero-foil shape for better performance instead of the flat ply that i have used although how much better tha...
Has anyone seen these sails? I have just read a report in TOPKAYAKER.NET and the performance plus the setting up looks to be good, the mast can be lowered like the Pacific Action sail but it promises up wind performance which i have found to be a ...
I expect many have seen the Klepper employee assembling a Klepper in four minutes, he,s obviously very experienced and everything appeard to be laid out so he didn,t have to look for them, it takes me 15 to 20 minutes. Why the rush, to me it isn,t...

John: You have been so helpful I thought I'd ask some questions about Playak. I can't find any place to look for help in navigating the site or doing things on the site. I'd like to put my picture up but haven't been successful. I received an email that someone had put a message on my page, but I don't see anything. Any idea? Also is there a way to search for someone by name?
I love the idea of the site, but it is confusing.
Thanks in advance.

I wasn't looking for any part in particular. Just wanted a source in case something broke. My Klepper is pretty old.
On another note: I am building a set of outriggers for sailing. It's very much an idle time project, so is going to take a while.
I have been creating a powerpoint file to show how a Klepper is put together. Do you think that would be something that should be put on this site?
I would appreciate getting that list. I hesitate to put an email address in a public forum. So I'll just use hints. I have a Yahoo account in the name of ham_n_man.
I'm hoping to begin visiting and camping on the islands in the Maine Island Trail system this summer. If I do I'll write up the trips here.
Hi John: I have loved the Klepper since I first saw one at the California State Fair 45 years ago. I bought this Quattro just this past spring from an individual here in Maine. A sailing rig came with it, but I haven't used it yet.
Do you know where I can buy the small fittings for repairs for the Klepper? Klepper America doesn't seem to sell them.
